WAUKEGAN, IL – Nov. 8, 2019 – Kevin Shrout, the “Champion Voice for our Distributors” is named National Sales Manager of PEER Chain! Shrout brings 29 years of experience in Distribution where he developed an astute sense of what Distributors require from their suppliers. Glenn Spungen, President, said of Shrout, “His depth of knowledge in Distribution will be a big benefit to the largest sector of our business. Plus, being no stranger to the needs of OEMs and MROs, he brings a superb balance and perspective to the National Sales Manager position.”
Shrout comes to PEER Chain via MSC Industrial Supply and McNichols Company. At both firms he was responsible for the P&L, hiring and leading sales teams throughout the Mid-West. Keen on developing individuals’ strengths through continual goal setting, implementation of measurements as well as personal mentoring, he believes in practicing what he preaches and regularly works on his own skill set by participating in a variety of personal and professional enrichment opportunities.
Shrout already hit the ground running answering customers’ requests for help as they face constant pressure from global competition and strive for continuous cost savings and supply management. He feels PEER Chain is unique as a third-generation family-owned company that is investing in deep inventory, IT software, and staff education. He also sees PEER Chain’s ability and willingness to make changes in response to customers’ needs as a key strength.
On the personal side, Shrout and his wife, Laura, have three adult children: Emily, Alex and Ben. Kevin is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, golfing and traveling with his family. He also donates time on two not-for-profit organizations: The Crucible Project and the F.A.I.R. Foundation. Both organizations work directly with individuals and families to help them achieve healing and wholeness in their lives.
