William R. (Bill) Haljun—Bill’s spent the first 28 years of his career with the Leo Burnett Company, where he worked in various positions in the Client Service Department, eventually rising to Senior Vice President. Primarily, his career was spent marketing consumer brand leaders such as Glad Bags and Secret Deodorant. This opportunity allowed him to analyze a great variety of situations, provide relevant comparison and provocative options for clients, in order to ultimately differentiate them from the competition.
Bill’s second career was 8 years at Big Idea Productions, producers of Veggie Tales videos and related products. Here he began as VP of Licensing and Development, and later, became President of the Big Idea Foundation. In addition, Bill is passionate about team building and opportunities where he can learn as well as teach. For the Big Idea Foundation, he created a series of exercises to help with this effort, which included holding “Family Night” sessions for 35 organizations, attended by over 3000 participants.
Last summer, Bill began consulting with Sunbeam Marketing Solutions. At Sunbeam, Bill was on the team which worked on the vision, mission, and branding for the Peer Chain Company. From that moment on, Bill has followed Peer Chain and hounded Glenn and Danny “to come aboard.” Having also worked with start-up businesses, including his own ventures, he is able to suggest alternative marketing strategies gauged to clients’ abilities and organizational structures “in” as well as “out of” the box.
Bill and his wife, Barbara, have four adult children, 8 grandchildren, and enjoy golfing, cooking together, and traveling, mostly to California or Connecticut where their grandchildren reside.
