Welded steel mill chains are available with fully heat treated parts and induction hardened components. For maximum durability in demanding applications like heavy impact loading, high speed, high capacity loads, and abrasive conditions, our mill chain receives specific heat treatment suited specifically for purpose.
Common Mill Chain Types

Extra Heavy-Duty Welded Steel Chain
These provide superior strength and impact resistance as well as longer life. You can count on superior impact capabilities, greater strength and a larger wear surface.
Chain Attachments
Choose from thousands of special attachments for specific conveyance applications solutions. Design changes provide improved service life.
Steel Drag Chains
These mill chains provide efficient service when used with chip or sawdust conveyors, and similar applications. Steel drag chain features include a formed barrel design for full rivet-to-barrel contact providing maximum rivet wear, greater impact strength, ease of welding attachments and the option to heat treat or induction harden specific parts.
Heavy Duty Drag Chain
Heavy duty drag chains feature thoroughly hardened and induction treated rivets. These are available with heat treated side bars and barrels. They feature formed, seamless, heavy wall tube barrel. This rugged barrel adds durable support via an induction hardened steel rivet. The heavy duty design does away with crushed and peeled barrels, reducing wear and tear caused by racking.
Super Heavy Duty Drag Chain
Featuring the same rugged characteristics as the heavy duty drag chain, the main difference is the super heavy duty in the barrel is made extra heavy and round but is packed with the same over-sized, lubricated rivet. This chain is designed to handle very large logs while offering two-way functionality. Use the super heavy duty mill chain for applications that only the strongest mill chain can handle.
Malleable Transfer Chai
Some of the most commonly used transfer chains in the lumber industry, these are a standard on transfer decks where loads are carried transversely on multiple chain strands and where entry and discharge move edgewise. The maximum speed advised is 100 feet/minute.

Roller Chain
Built to exacting standards to meet and exceed ANSI specifications. Roller chains are all made with solid rollers and solid bushings.
Split Sleeve Bearings
We carry a wide variety of split sleeve bearings and stock them with polyurethane, bronze, babbitt, or Zinc Aluminum liners.
Welded Steel Chains
These provide an economical means of conveying materials. These are commonly used in lumber, paper, pulp, plywood, and other board mills, bucket elevator, and materials handling. Use heat or induction hardened chain for greater impact strength and better wear resistance.
